I'm sorry we've been unable to release Sergei's Chapter 1 as promised as we encountered some setbacks. Aside from that, I've also been going through some issues. 

I'm just gonna be honest with this. It's been more than a year since Walking Forward came out and I found out that it's significantly falling. Compared to other FVNs out there, WF just seemed to never make it. Thus, it made me feel whether if it's actually worth it to continue with the current plan I have. I knew I should've followed my original plan which was to write it as a dating sim, but my ideals won back then. 

Note that I will not let everyone's support and effort go to waste. I will not abandon or cancel the project but instead remaking it, as well as rebranding. I do not blame anyone but myself and this has been a tough decision for me. My joy lies in writing, in giving a story you would all enjoy, in showing you characters that you may fall in love with. Walking Forward began with very minimum planning and yeah, that's my biggest fault. 

Move on to the future plans for Walking Forward, we will have Reynald and Irene removed from the main storylines, leaving Sergei, Dimitri, and Marcus as the primarily ones. There would be replacement for those two, but I have yet to decide on any. I will also redesign the remaining three's personality, details, and aesthetic to be more concrete. Most changes will happen on the story and character part. If possible I will try to improve the background quality to be closer to VN-like and a new text and name boxes. 

On the side, I will be working on a dating sim FVN based on Walking Forward characters (names and sprites, personality and other details will be different). Think of it as a parallel world (not AU because the time period setting doesn't change). Sergei will be our MC here. For the number of love interest is gonna be around 3 or 5. 

I can't give any date when they would be out. All I can is they will come out when they are ready. I'm currently writing my thesis too, so it's gonna be slow. Please be patient with me. I think that's all for now. If anything else comes up, I'll make another devlog, probably...
